  1. First, wash and soak 2 cups idli rice and 1/4 cup whole urad daal along with 1 tsp methi seeds for 8 hours. Grind it separately with water and mix to a thick batter. Ferment in a warm place for 8 to 10 hours..
  2. Then add salt and mix well. Then adjust the consistency of dosa batter by adding water if needed. Add salt to taste and mix well for 2 minutes..
  3. Then divide the mixture in 4 bowls. Add pink and red in one bowl, blue in second, green in third and keep the last one white. Mix with separate spoons till the colour is distributed uniformly in each bowl..
  4. Then fill each mixture in a piping bag or plastic bags. Make a small cut at the pointed end to pipe out dosas..
  5. Heat a tawa or skillet really well. Then wipe oil all over with a tissue. Then sprinkle some salted water and again wipe with tissue..
  6. Then pipe out small flowers with each colour. Flip when done from vase and cook the top side for a few seconds without browing the top..
  7. Similarly, make dosas with all the batters as per desired flower and leaves shapes..
  8. Serve with your favourite chutney or dip or sambar. Enjoy colourfull flower dosas!.
