  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Asafoetida.

  22. Prepare 1/2 tsp of Red Chilli Powder.

  24. Prepare to taste of Jaggery.

  26. You need to prepare 1 Cup of Cooked Yellow Split Pigeon Peas.
  27. You need to prepare 3 tsp of Grated Coconut.
  28. You need to prepare 2 tsp of Cilantro.

Tuvar Dal Aamti instructions

  1. Dry Roast Black Sesame seeds.
  2. Dry Roast Grated Coconut.
  3. Heat Oil - Roast Bay Leaves and Black Stone Flower.
  4. Add Jeera and Shahi Jeera.
  5. Add Coriander Seeds.
  6. Add Cinnamon Sticks, Cloves, Whole Black Pepper.
  7. Add Dried Red Chillis.
  8. Transfer all the roasted spices to a Blender, Add Asafoetida, Salt, and Turmeric Powder - Grind them into a fine Powder - Goda Masala is Ready.
  9. Heat Oil in a Pot, Add Jeera, Black Stone Flower, Asafoetida, and Green Chillis.
  10. Add finely Chopped Onions and Saute until onions are caramelized.
  11. Add Turmeric Powder and Red Chilli Powder. mix well, Add Tamarind Extract and water. Cook until it thickens.
  12. Add Jaggery, Salt. Mix well and then add cooked Yellow Split Pigeon Peas and let it boil for 5-7 mins.
  13. Add Goda Masala and let it boil for another 2-3 mins.
  14. Garnish with fresh grated coconut and cilantro.
