Tuvar Dal Aamti instructions
- Dry Roast Black Sesame seeds.
- Dry Roast Grated Coconut.
- Heat Oil - Roast Bay Leaves and Black Stone Flower.
- Add Jeera and Shahi Jeera.
- Add Coriander Seeds.
- Add Cinnamon Sticks, Cloves, Whole Black Pepper.
- Add Dried Red Chillis.
- Transfer all the roasted spices to a Blender, Add Asafoetida, Salt, and Turmeric Powder - Grind them into a fine Powder - Goda Masala is Ready.
- Heat Oil in a Pot, Add Jeera, Black Stone Flower, Asafoetida, and Green Chillis.
- Add finely Chopped Onions and Saute until onions are caramelized.
- Add Turmeric Powder and Red Chilli Powder. mix well, Add Tamarind Extract and water. Cook until it thickens.
- Add Jaggery, Salt. Mix well and then add cooked Yellow Split Pigeon Peas and let it boil for 5-7 mins.
- Add Goda Masala and let it boil for another 2-3 mins.
- Garnish with fresh grated coconut and cilantro.
