  1. Prepare 1 std cup of long grain basmati rice cooked.

  17. Prepare 1-2 std cups of cooked pasta in sauce (see recipe).

Vegetable and pasta pulao step by step

  1. Cook pasta as normal using the link given in the ingredient section. You may also just combine pizza sauce and cooked pasta together and then simmer it for a minute or two. Here is the recipe for pizza sauce attached. Ensure that the pasta do not get overcooked while boiling. Keep more amount of sauce in pasta. Add cheese too. Keep it aside. (see recipe).
  2. Take oil in a pot. Add cloves, cinnamon stick, black pepper, badiya and cardamom. Let them get heated up in oil on a low flame. When they puff and release the aroma, add the ginger garlic green chillies paste followed by the veggies. Add salt and the biryani masala. Fry till oil releases..
  3. Add about 1/2 cup of water, cover, and cook on low flame till the veggies are cooked 80-90%. Add cooked rice to that..
  4. Gently combine it. Add pasta and combine very well. Adjust spices if required..
  5. Place a roti pan on the stove. Put the pot on the top of it. Cover and cook on the lowest heat for about 10 min. This step will allow the flavours to blend well. It will also help to remove extra moisture from the rice so that each grain of rice stays saperate. Serve hot..
  6. Note: Shan Biryani masala also includes fresh tamerind. Avoid adding it to this pulao or as a very little amount of it..
